I met with her and communicated with her quite a few times in the months before the wedding, even though she was only providing the day of service. She saved me money by doing my flowers and let me rent some of her hurricanes and votives for the fireplace!

She orchestrated my rehearsal the night before, picked up items from me the morning of, and made sure the vendors provided the correct items and set them up to my expectations. She knew when to ask me questions and when to just take care of things and let me enjoy my day.

“Missie was such a great person to work with! We never regretted that we chose her as our wedding planner. Before signing a contract with her, I contacted quite a few wedding planners. Most of them charged a percent from the whole wedding budget and I didn't like this at all because I thought there was no incentive for a wedding planner to keep the budget under control. I found two planners that charged a certain fee, not a percent, and we met up with both of them. Unlike the other planner we met with, Missie was very personable and funny and passionate about her job. Another big thing that convinced us to go with her service was that she offered to use the items that she already owned if we wanted to (we used her lanterns for the reception tables and her bird cage for the cards), unlike the other planner who had a list of things we could rent from her, each with a price tag.

Our wedding was not too big. We had 50 people total. Our budget was limited, too, and to be honest, we went over the limit a little bit, but Missie tried to do everything possible to keep it under control. She found a venue for us that we didn't have to pay for and saved us thousands of dollars.

Another thing that I liked about her style was that she was very flexible and open about everything. I am originally from Russia, so I wanted to combine American and Russian wedding traditions, which was a little bit tricky. I also wanted my parents who came from Russia for the wedding to feel comfortable, so some of my requests may have been ridiculous (in American eyes, haha) but Missie made sure that every single one of them was fulfilled. She did all the negotiations with the venue people, the hairdresser (she's got a really good one, btw!), the baker (who gave us a discount because we worked with Missie), the makeup artist, the DJ, the transportation company, and the rental company (who also gave us a discount because of Missie). You name it. The only person I had to keep in touch with personally except Missie was our photographer because we signed a contract with him even before we got a wedding planner. 

I can say in all honesty that it was a perfect wedding, I would not have changed a thing. I am so grateful to Missie for making it all happen. She is super organized, and she is a nice and laid-back person to work with. I can confess that I am a total control freak, but I felt comfortable every step on the way without spending my time on planning. Missie sent me emails with updates, questions, and details every week.”
